. Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati invites applications from meritorious candidates for Post Doctoral Fellowship (IPDF) programme-2016 in various areas of study.
Fellowship details:
. Fellowship worth between Rs.40,000 - 50,000 consolidated (depending upon the area of experience and qualification) The starting fellowship will be Rs 40,000/- consolidated per month, which may get enhanced by a consolidated amount of Rs 5000/- every year based on assessment and recommendation of PAC. The starting fellowship can be high but within Rs 50,000/- for exceptionally bright candidates.

COURSE AND ELIGIBILITY
Eligibility:
. PhD degree holders, with original/provisional degree certificate duly issued by competent authority of the concerned Institute/University, are eligible to apply within five years after completion of PhD.
. Age limit: 35 years (relaxable by 5 years for women and reserved (SC/ST/ PWD) category).
Selection Procedure:
. The applications received by the Academic Section will be forwarded to the respective Departments for short listing of candidates to be called for interview. The concerned departments will send back the applications along with recommendations to the Academic Section.
